ABSTRACT:
SCADA
is an acronym for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition. SCADA systems are
used to monitor and control a plant or equipment in industries such as
telecommunications, water and waste control, energy, oil and gas refining and
transportation. These systems encompass the transfer of data between a remote
are where the parameters have to controlled using advanced wireless technology
one such technology is GSM based SCADA.
A SCADA system gathers information (such as where a sensor has exceeded its
value), transfers the information back to control area through a short message,
then alerts the station were sensor has occurred, carrying out necessary
analysis and control, such as switching ON the load .
In this project, we are using
two sensors, relays, ADC (Analog to Digital Conversion), Microcontroller, LCD
(Liquid Crystal Display) for displaying the messages.
By using this project, one can
control the TEMPERATURE, LIGHT, by means of a GSM modem by sending SMS. In this
application two conditions will be displayed whether we want to change the
temperature, light intensity else not that can be varied depending upon the
user’s requirement.
The
project will be operated in two modes Automatic mode, manual mode of operation.
In automatic mode if the sensors have sensed the raise in parameters
automatically the loads will be switched ON. And in the manual mode if any
raise occurs in sensors occur automatically a message will be given to the user
end in terms of a small message, by sending a counter SMS the raised parameters
will be decreased.
This project uses regulated 5v, 750mA power
supply. 7805, a three terminal voltage regulator is used for voltage
regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the ac output of
secondary of 230/12v step down transformer
