Abstract
College Automation proposes to deliver a large number of
undergraduate and graduate programs to the people of Western Kansas, with
additional participation by the community colleges serving Western Kansas. The
College campus will be the coordination site. These programs include
undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates, and teacher endorsements,
offered in a way that makes them accessible to the place bound adult
population. Some courses will be offered in a weekend intensive format. By working
closely with partners in the area, including community colleges, cities and
counties, and other private and public agencies, the universities can ensure
the availability of these programs through a variety of delivery methods. The
partners and participating colleges have pledged significant support in the
areas of student recruiting, student services, facilities, management support,
course availability for lower division course requirements, and many other
types of support. These pledges are detailed in materials that accompany this
proposal, and are too numerous to be included in this document.
It’s established a special
affiliation partnership with College, using language and terms similar to its
memorandum of Agreement College. This proposal depends on a number of unique
approaches: first, partnerships; second, close contacts with those sectors of
the population that are least served by higher education, targeting especially
the Hispanic community with specialized services; and third, the availability
of high quality, state-of-the-art teaching and learning methods.
Scope of the project
- This application can be used on any platform because it is basically designed in platform independent language.
- Flexible to enhance the application.
- Presently the application is used for an educational institute offering services of add/update details and generate reports.
The
general description gives an "executive overview" and is very
client-oriented. It expounds on the functional and data requirements of the
application. It also lists the limitations, assumptions and dependencies of the
application. Section 3.0, the specific
requirements section, includes
the developers’ technical
view of the
client's expectation of the
application. It also
touches on the
performance and quality requirements of the application and
provides a solid definition of the interface.
Existing System
Present system is manual.
The Project Metrics has to enter all the details of project, documents, and
tasks. It also maintenance the team information and also efforts estimation.
For this purpose the organization maintain the size of the document, source
code and update the information about team member’s details manually. Which is much of time consuming
process and more importantly it is error prone. Limitations Of the Manual
system
- It is time consuming
- It leads to error prone results
- It consumes lot of manpower to better results
- It lacks of data security
- Retrieval of data takes lot of time
- Percentage of accuracy is less
- Reports take time to produce
Hence
Computerization of the existing system is proposed. The new system completely
removes all manual burdens and provide efficient on the entry system.
Proposed system
After
understanding the existing system and understanding the need for developing a
new system different people involved in the related activities have been
consulted. The data needed for the study has been collected from company records.
The
computerization of this system would avoid the wrong interpretation and bad
calculation of data .The system help the user to see any documents, source
code, tasks, activities, team information with details at the click of a
button. The record data is maintained and backed up such a way that data is not
loss. The speed of the system could also increased.

Internal Messaging, Update Profile and change password
