To develop a application which can be used by a typical quality certification agency’s day to day activities.

 1. Title of the project:  Quality Management System

 2. Abstract:

QMS is a project designed to automate the work process (from client making an enquiry to maintaining ISO 9000 certificate information) in an ISO 9000 certificate issuing agency. This is an Internet Project developed for the American Quality Assessors India Pvt. Ltd.  This organization is involved in auditing Organizations going in for ISO certifications. The project keeps track of various activities, like the auditors associated, their affiliations, organizational data, certification information, and surveillance information. Various reports are generated monthly/yearly wise, auditor wise, organization wise, surveillance wise, Quotation wise etc.

 3. Existing System:

Ø  The existing process quality certifications are being issued to concerned organization completely through manual process.

Ø  Scheduling audit date, allocation of auditors, cross checking the organizational standards against the actual standards are being done manually.

Ø  Hence tracking of auditors and audit information is a tedious process. Maintaining repository of standards related to each industrial domain and using the same for auditing is a time taking process. Because of this, completing of auditing will certainly take more time than expected, which is directly proportional to the overall productivity of the audit agency.

 4. Proposed System & Features of the project:

Ø  The proposed QMS web application is designed for a typical Quality Certification Organization which contains the following features

Ø  Providing quotations to prospects

Ø  Managing Audit information

Ø  Scheduling Auditors for audits

Ø  Generating reports for the audit done.
