Graphical Library System (Dot Net project)

ABSTRACT

Graphical Library System is a unique application that is capable of handling books, periodicals and attachments etc. with equal ease and efficiency.

That is a web-based library management system, utilizing the latest advancement in the information technology to provide and improve library services by implementation of index cards, member cards, catalogue, reader statistics, items for binding, item on display , condemned items, item on circulation , new arrivals etc…..

Library management system (LMS) is library automation software. LMS is designed to manage all transactions of books i.e. borrowing, renewal, returning and fine collections etc in online basis. LMS is easy to use and install with a minimal system requirements. This application is more helpful for educational institutions of higher learning.

This application is being developed in order to provide a quick common method for data retrieval with the following features like

-facility for add, edit, search, delete the books, periodicals, attachments based on accession number, title, author, subject, periodicity, date of publication.

-simple and intuitive web for performing all functions

-security features like access control using passwords and user-roles etc……

 EXISTING SYSTEM:

In Existing System the entire Library functions are taking place manually The Data is storing on booksUser’s information is saving in record

The present system manages all library information across ledgers and files. Maintenance all data related to books, borrowers and librarians is done manually using conventional procedures. These methods are not effective and lead to mismanagement

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

IN Our Proposed System we are making software all can be done on one click only

In this the user can have make account in the library and search the book he want by giving the book name By using issuing the book he can take the book once his time period finished he can retune the book all this information will be saved in data base in our proposed system

If a new books come to library also that books information can also be add in our Proposed System We have rich user interface in our Proposed System

         The proposed system maintains a centralized repository of information using which one can access the required information in a convenient manner. The system provides facilities to find details of books and magazines, to register books, to cancel registrations and other activities. The system incorporates the details related to authors and publishers as well.
